Sharjah doesn't win often but is rarely beaten far which is why he's still on a high mark. Gun Shoot was only beaten a nose in this a year ago but had arrived in top form, unlike tonight. Master Melody is much better here than anywhere else and though his victory earlier this month came over 1m4f he's equally adept at tonight's trip. Sar Oiche was having just her fourth start when runner-up at Fairyhouse in July and makes her debut on the surface but she has much more scope than most, while Cristy's Call has been in winning form over hurdles and has scored here twice. Minot Street was a very convincing winner on just his fourth start on the track a fortnight ago and a 7lb rise shouldn't prevent another big effort but the well-supported favourite HAVELOCK ELLIS clipped heels and slipped up in the race. He'd been running very well previously and is taken to gain compensation.
