Verdict

Acolyte is comfortably the pick on official ratings. He earned his high mark back in 2015 then transferred to Meydan and landed a handicap there for Godolphin after a very long break. His stable also run Tony The Gent, who landed a similar race over 7f three weeks ago but has never run over a trip this short in 48 starts. A similar remark applies to Able Jack, five-times an all-weather winner but making his debut over the distance on his 33rd start. Bellick arrives in good form having just held off FRENCH over the track and trip a month ago but the runner-up has the better of the weights this time and is taken to gain her first all-weather victory on her 20th start having won twice on Turf.
