Tonkinese has run 11 times here without winning but has dropped to a fair mark as a consequence and was staying on over the extended 1m2f a fortnight ago. MORPH SPEED was having only his second start since arriving from France when holding off Sharjah, who was receiving 18lb, over the course and distance three weeks ago. He's been raised 3lb but looks to have plenty more to offer. Tio Esteban, a winner over a mile at Wolverhampton in November, stepped up significantly in trip to score easily here last week and, though up 9lb, still has the potential to improve. Narynkol landed a maiden over the track and trip earlier this month but didn't run as well as expected on his handicap debut a week later. Wild Shot would know his way around here blindfolded having won five of his 31 starts on the track though might just be a pound or two too high while Romantically's victory in December came over 2m.
