Every one of the 10 entries have won on the track, six of them also over the distance. Have A Nice Day won this a year ago and Reckless Lad the previous year and the former is gradually dropping back to a winnable mark. Northern Surprise and Hat Alnasar fought out a finish here in November with the former coming out on top. Both are in superb form but the revised weights suggest the Timothy Doyle’s Charge can confirm the form. Split The Atom is another in top shape at present and though beaten on his hat-trick bid behind Russian Soul last week it was a fine run. DARK ALLIANCE was just behind in that latter event after failing to get the run of the race and though narrowly beaten by Split The Atom earlier was staying on so strongly over that 6f that he would have won in another stride - he gets the nod. Last month's maiden winner Maronella is very much on the upgrade, though this is a much more difficult task.
