Free Art, who was also engaged in the opening nursery, competed at a high level against the likes of Zoffany and Pathfork in mid-summer. All of his starts to date have been over 7f and he led for much of the way in a tough nursery at the Galway Festival in July. He looks certain to go well while Glendaragh, who began with a decent second to Moonlit Garden over 6f on fast ground at the Curragh, has found an extra furlong on soft ground at Listowel and Fairyhouse too much to handle and should be suited by track and trip. Unless there is something special amongst the newcomers, BALLBACKA LADY looks the one to be on. Pat Fahey's filly has a couple of excellent runs to her credit and wasn't right when beaten at Leopardstown in August. She was only just behind the well-regarded Banimpire at the Curragh last time and looks set to gain her first success here. Scoot My FRiend, who is related to three 7f winners, may prove best of the newcomers.
