Six Silver Lane was just outpaced by Locus Standi over the extended 1m2f here last week having won over that trip last month though he's only once raced over this trip in 72 starts and finished last. Ruby Gates finished a close third behind Locus Standi over this trip earlier and didn't get the best of runs so she looks likely to go close though TROPIC THUNDER was a close third in that latter event and was having his first Flat start for Tony Martin after arriving from France so is taken to lose his maiden tag. Repare Mon won a handicap over the course and distance then followed up a week later over two miles for which he's been penalised 10lb. He's in great heart and a hat-trick has to be considered along with the ultra-consistent Settle For Red though he's another stepping into the unknown regarding trip. Mountmills has two course and distance victories to his credit but hasn't run since October 2015 and has changed stables.
