Verdict

It's difficult to know what to make of ERNEST HEMINGWAY apart from that he'll find this rather less demanding than making the pace in the Arc. After landing a maiden over this C&D by 10l in April, he started favourite for the Dante at York where he finished tailed off last. Not seen again until Longchamp, he's given an opportunity to get back on track. Honourable Emperor has been racing at a high level since winning twice here at the beginning of the year and, as he's owned and bred by the O'Brien family, could be the one to bustle up the selection. Brendan Brackan also looks a threat after a fair effort in a Group 3 here last time when Banna Boirche was behind but Distant Memories is looking more of a hurdler these days.
