In depth

Verdict

SPIRIT POWER is an interesting contender now back at this venue. He twice chased home Sirici over 5f here in the spring, with that rival going on to land Listed honours on turf since. The selection hasn't progressed as desired on grass but must hold decent claims back on a surface where he has shown plenty promise already. Darkolva has done enough in maidens so far to merit consideration while Captain Vancouver did enough in testing ground on debut at Galway to suggest this is within his compass. Bella Signora and Annesdale Dancer are amongst the newcomers that should have attention paid to them.
