In depth

Verdict

Planchart ran in much stronger company in her first season and will appreciate this drop in grade while High Honcho couldn't quite go the pace in the closing stages when a close third over track and trip in December. Shoellen was unable to handle testing ground at the Curragh on her final two starts after a promising effort at Cork while though the beautifully-bred Seventh Heaven only showed moderate ability in her two runs this longer trip should bring about improvement. Jowana caught the eye on her debut at the Curragh in August, staying on nicely from the rear, so she's one to watch though Dermot Weld has made such a blistering start to the campaign that the newcomer HEARTFUL, a daughter of Shamardal out of a Group winner, is handed the vote to make a successful debut.
