Duke Of Waspington had been running poorly but had dropped to his lowest-ever mark and was very well supported when just getting home over an extended 1m2f a fortnight ago. He's up 5lb but, with his rider's claim again to aid his cause, he should be in the mix. Ragtime Red had been signalling an imminent victory before landing a division of that same race and, though 7lb higher, he will be suited by the trip. However, he finished behind MARMALADE N TOAST when the latter occupied the runner-up spot behind Lady De Vesci last month and Patrick Flynn's charge can go one better, despite having been well beaten over hurdles subsequently. Phebes Dream has had five starts here and is yet to be placed and it was soft ground when she won at Galway in October.
