ARCANEARS has been a bit unfortunate not to double his winning tally on the track in recent weeks, staying on strongly when just failing to catch Red Cymbal over 5f a fortnight ago with Nigg Bay, Plough Boy, Hit The Silk, Shore Step and Togoville all behind. The winner franked the form with a cracking run last week and there's unlikely to be much between them again. Tommy Taylor was having his first start for the yard when a very good second to the consistent Yuften last month and should have come on for the run but Fit For Function appears better over an extra furlong.
