George Vancouver has started a short-priced favourite on both starts to date in testing going. He travelled well for much of the race at the Curragh last time but weakened quickly and this surface may bring out the best in him. Aidan O'Brien also runs the newcomer Mohawk Law, who is closely related to the St Leger winner Rule Of Law while David Wachman's expensive filly Dusty In Memphis is another first-timer to keep an eye on. Desert Of Dreams ran very well in strong maidens at Leopardstown before failing to handle very heavy ground at Bellewstown with All Ablaze behind. That was a decent effort and today's extra furlong will suit though he has to concede the fillies' allowance to LOTTIE DOD and that may prove beyond him as Charles O'Brien's daughter of Invincible Spirit ran very well in a Listed contest at the Curragh won by Cay Verde where she stayed on nicely over the minimum trip.
