Miss Cunning won this last year from the worst draw of all and has the inside berth this time. Phoenix Open has also won around here and returned to form at Gowran while DUQUESA BEACH, another track and trip winner, has been in very good form on Turf and looks to have a fair chance in a competitive handicap. Beleaguerment generally races over shorter, scoring over 7f at Gowran last month, but was staying on over that trip at Leopardstown last time. Tanseeq won twice on the all-weather in the UK and very nearly scored over this course and distance last month though has gone up 5lb.
