Verdict

MARBLE STATUETTE went up 8lb for her victory early last month but was brought with a well-timed challenge to defy the extra two weeks ago. She's gone up another 7lb but has had a bit in hand and her rider's claim can help her to a hat-trick. Misty Lane has had seven races this year and won four of them. She just held the challenge of Rummaging over a mile a month ago and is very closely matched with the runner-up, who is better over 7f and may have been unlucky when a length behind Captain Joy over that trip in October. Fastidious is just 3lb higher than his victory here in February and continued to run well during the summer. The Islander landed a maiden at Cork in April but hasn't been seen since pulling up at Fairyhouse the following month when there was clearly something amiss.
