Verdict

It will be very interesting to see how Red Devil Boys, who has already won a bumper and a hurdle here, goes after an extended break. Smart Freddy is another returning from a lengthy absence but he has scope, as does Fayette County who may have found the trip too short when falling at Kempton. CLONDAW KAEMPFER won a valuable handicap over hurdles at Aintree in April and did nothing wrong on his reappearance behind a race-fit Foxcub at Bangor. He may have too much class for these if taking to the larger obstacles.
