SYRENA deserves a change of fortune having been placed in five of her six starts and not beaten far in a Listed contest in the other. She didn't handle heavy going at Galway last time and providing she handles the surface can finally lose her maiden tag. Bella Cora looked in need of experience when mid-division here a fortnight ago and will have come on as will Instantaneous who finished just in front of her. Lavender never really got into the action over this trip on heavy going at Listowel but stayed on steadily and she's related to numerous winners, several of them on the all-weather. The selection's stable companion Cnoc An Oir, a half-sister to nine winners including two at Group level, could prove best of the remainder.
