    Verdict

HOBART would have been expected to have lost his maiden tag by now but won't get many better opportunities. His close third behind Wardell at Limerick in April suggested he would win soon but he didn't enjoy the soft ground at Killarney later. Captain Carleton has won over hurdles but not on the Flat though he's run well here and also at the Curragh last month. He looks the main threat as Walkabout was well beaten on fast ground at Fairyhouse last time and Meadowlands has failed to reach a place in three starts on this track.
