Daisy Jones finished first past in a barrier trial here with a subsequent winner back in third though they all finished in a heap. Michael Halford won this a year ago and Smart 'N' Dandy finished runner-up in what looked a much stronger barrier trial in August with a couple of subsequent winners behind. Gudrid caught the eye on her Leopardstown debut and started favourite in a big field at the Curragh but didn't enjoy the best of runs and supporters will be looking for compensation. However, FINE LACE (NAP) finished in front of her that day having taken some time to warm up before staying on and Dermot Weld's superbly-bred Frankel filly can get off the mark. Lolly Yeats has produced a couple of decent efforts and may prove best of the remainder.
