Mister Dancer is 16lb clear of his nearest rival in the official ratings based on his runs in France in 2015. He'd be an obvious choice if retaining half of his ability though he hasn't run since that year. The veterans Seanie and RIVELLINO were separated by a head in an amateurs' event on the sand at Laytown back in September and the latter just holds the call on that effort. He hasn't been beaten far in handicaps recently and should make a bold bid. Iron Ryan had some reasonable form in France and though beaten in a similar race last month should have come on markedly for the run. Ancient Astronaut, three times a winner in the UK, found 1m2f much too far on his first start for new connections last month and is expected to do better.
