      Verdict

      It was testing ground when BOLLIN ACE finished runner-up to a higher rated odds-on favourite in a novices’ chase at Newcastle last time. Tim Easterby’s charge looks to have a much easier opportunity on today’s terms and can open his account over fences. Hope’s Wishes makes her chasing bow and has plenty to find with the selection at the weights on form over timber while Native Gamut won a point-to-point last year but was a well beaten third for his new yard at Doncaster in January. The remaining trio are hard to fancy on what little they have shown so far.
