Spinning Pearl had gradually been dropping to a winnable mark before staying on to finish second to Alnahar last month and a repeat would see her in contention. However, CARONDA, who was a very close third, was making her handicap debut and having just her fourth start so should reverse the places and gets the nod. Power Drive, who finished eighth, looks held but Sleepy Head is extremely consistent and though her two track victories have been over shorter she has no problems with the trip so it will be a surprise if she's not thereabouts. New Vocation has yet to win a race but has dropped to such a lowly mark that she should make her presence felt
