    Verdict

Joseph O'Brien has won two of the last three and has two entries. The newcomer Best Guess is by Australia out of a mare who has produced middle-distance winners in France with her first three offspring. Alazne has had both starts over a mile here and though unable to quicken behind Miss Caruso last week that looked a strong maiden. SEGOMO showed potential on Turf last summer and was returning from a long break when runner-up to the well-supported Cooler last month. With further progress likely he can go one better though Tabuk is consistent enough and should be suited by the longer trip. Jalo returns after a break but looks the type to do better this season.
