This is a race for maidens and few arrive in any kind of form. OLD TOM HIGGINS had run well behind Tudor City at Leopardstown then put a poor run on this track behind him to finish runner-up last week and normal progress can see him go one better. He holds Anjah on that latest run while Liquid Luck didn’t show much in three starts here last winter and hasn’t been seen since a reasonable return to action at the Curragh in June. The well-bred Lyra Belacqua could do with a win for the paddocks and ran her best race to date over 7f here last time. Eagle Terrace makes his handicap debut after a better effort in a maiden last week.
