Verdict

Linger, three-times a winner over hurdles, has never been placed on the Flat and will be having his first start since May. Total Demolition has won from higher marks in the past but has been running poorly, though in better company ,while Creative Talent has been badly out of form over timber. Universal Focus gained his only success in 22 starts over this trip at Cork in August but has never raced on the all-weather unlike the veteran Shake The Bucket, who has won eight times around here, though spent much of the summer over fences. The lightly-raced MOLLY KAYE was staying on strongly on her penultimate start here so gets a speculative vote in a very moderate handicap. Solar Heat has a fair record on the track but a spell over fences may have blunted what speed he had.
