In depth

Verdict

A beginners' chase that took some working out but HOT OSCAR looks just the one to be with based on hurdles form with Fier Destrier likely to go close and Without the Bop is another for the list. The pick was highly tried on his last two starts over timber but did perform well in a strong looking race at Ffos Las three starts ago. That looks the form to judge him on for his first start fencing. Fier Destrier was a fast ground winner over timber and has had three starts over the big stuff; that experience may be key. Without A Bop isn't without a chance based on his hurdles efforts but he'd prefer cut in the ground while Rosie O'Grady kicked on from her seasonal bow and could improve again. This won't be straight forward but Hot Oscar is best judging on his timber form.
