In depth

Verdict

RIVIERA SUN is still improving and returned from a five-month lay-off to win at Kilbeggan, beating Smadynium in the process. Henry De Bromhead’s charge should go close again. Smadynium has been well beaten off a lower mark over hurdles subsequently while Double Scores has struggled since winning a beginners’ chase at Limerick in March. Anseanachai Cliste won over these fences before disappointing at Kelso while Stonehall Jack beat Garrai Phaidin at Tramore in April but is now 9lb higher. Cecil Corbett may prove best of the rest.
