Verdict

Chambord Du Lys looked a smart prospect when landing a Clonmel maiden in February last year and ran well in tough handicaps over the next few weeks. However, she was off for 476 days before returning with a moderate run at Galway last month and may need another outing to get back to her best. COMMENTARIOLUS made a successful debut for Gordon Elliott at Fairyhouse in February after arriving from France. She was a bit disappointing on very testing ground at Limerick the following month but should be forgiven. Cooldine Bog has struck form in recent weeks, landing a Kilbeggan maiden before very good runs in handicaps. He may just have the edge over another Kilbeggan maiden winner Silver Star, though the latter found Navan's ground just too fast on his handicap debut.
