Whisky Galore was having his 31st start over hurdles and 60th in all when handed the verdict by the stewards for his first ever victory at Sligo on Thursday. He has a penalty to carry and the ground was very testing that day but this isn't much of a race. The Absent Mare is running well and though 8lb higher for her latest victory must be respected while Urban Dusk scored over 2m4f at Sligo before finding an extra quarter-mile too far at Cartmel.
