Broughtons Bandit has one victory in 28 career starts to his credit and that was on the all-weather. There's no doubt he'll attract support after a very good run behind Wild Fern at Ballinrobe last week but is overlooked in favour of SUE AND ISI, who was just behind in fourth. Jimmy Lambe's mare was showing the first sign of form since returning to action after a very long break and gets the vote. Pennys Tune is the only course and distance winner in the line-up but she's just as likely to plant herself at the start and can't be trusted. Percys Choice hasn't had as much experience as some of these but has improved in his last two starts and was only just beaten in a tight finish at Down Royal a month ago. Lilly The Lioness is one to consider as she gained a comfortable victory on good ground at Kilbeggan in September and has a nice prep run on the Flat last month.
