Verdict

Gordon Elliott had seven entered at the early stage and relies on Bellas Rock and DEATH DUTY - it's the latter who looks the one to be on. A winner between the flags in February, he started favourite on his bumper debut at Fairyhouse in April and ran well despite not quite finding a finishing burst in the closing stages. Burrows Lane didn't show much on his debut at Punchestown in April but was well supported for his reappearance at Fairyhouse three weeks ago and found only Mental Strength too strong so, with fitness guaranteed, he could provide the main threat. Catch A Lucky Star looked a certain future winner when runner-up here in May and there must have been something amiss when he was tailed off when favourite at Downpatrick. With his stable in tremendous form, point-to-point winner Paper Lantern is one to keep an eye on in the market.
