Verdict
EDWULF won the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown in February last year after which he continued to race at the highest level. He made his point-to-point debut at Loughrea in October and won nicely so should begin his new venture with a victory though this is a very competitive hunter-chase. Billaway and Black Hercules represent Willie Mullins and the former improved in similar company last season after finishing a long way last behind Ucello Conti at Navan in February. The winner is fit from a run between the flags though It Came To Pass looks a bigger threat. He had Billaway 7 lengths behind at Cork in April and should go well while Val De Ferbet arrives with a victory at Tinahely under his belt while Burning Ambition is well up to this class and will be better for a run in Wexford handicap.
