Verdict

Awkward Moment progressed over hurdles and was having his first start for over a year on the Flat at Galway last month. Carloswayback took on the very best over timber after landing a Limerick maiden a year ago and though he cut little ice in that company he's a full-brother to Roberto Goldback and should make a chaser as should Medical Card, who will want a real test of stamina. Eight Is My Number won a bumper a year ago and a maiden hurdle at Gowran in April. He ran a shocker in a small field at Perth a few days later and could have been feeling the effects so must be kept on the right side as he makes his chasing debut. Four Commanders was decent over timber but looks like making a better chaser after a fine debut behind False Economy at Limerick. He will be difficult to beat on that form but THE ENGINEER looked like a horse with a big future when runner-up to Ipsos Du Berlais in a Galway bumper and is given the nod to make a winning start over the bigger obstacles.
