Tommies Call belied his 100/1 SP with a battling effort at Fairyhouse where he was staying on gamely. Yeats Star made his racecourse debut in a maiden hurdle at Cork where he didn't get going until too late. That should have put him spot-on for this. OSSIE'S LODGE ran well on his debut in a big field at Navan and was sent into Listed company at Limerick where he still looked as though the experience would do him good despite finishing a close third, form that should be good enough for this. Smokey Putnum found some improvement at Ballinrobe but needs more here.
