In depth

Verdict

Katgary finished second over 2m here last year when 5lb higher but is best watched returning from a lay-off. NIGHTFLY has run six times over fences and is yet to finish out of the first two. She’s won three of those races and may be capable of defying a 5lb rise for her latest success at Wetherby. Too Many Diamonds has lost his way and Greybougg remains out of sorts but Buster Thomas went close at Wincanton earlier this month and Kauto Riko could easily bounce back from being pulled up at Aintree. Slanelough wasn’t disgraced on his chasing debut at Carlisle but Bouvreuil has left the Nicholls yard after flattering to deceive last season.
