Verdict
There has been rain on Town Moor so the fragile Flight Officer may be allowed to take his chance. The Godolphin gelding would have outstanding claims on his comeback second at Newmarket with Gary Mahon taking off 5lb. The boys in blue also run the useful Oceanographer while Scrutinise was only beaten a nose at Sandown, though is another who would have preferred an easier surface. Laurence's fourth at Yarmouth was his best run for a while but more would still be needed here, though he's preferred to course winner Hit The Jackpot and Swift Emperor. KARRAAR is tried in a visor and could be the one to be on if the headgear has the desired effect. He won over this trip on fast going at Sandown last year and is only 3lb higher – he should be cherry-ripe now after a couple of runs.
