Pantera Negra did have the benefit of previous experience when finishing ahead of Masterofdiscovery at Ascot last time and there may not be much between the pair today. Despite only beating one home, Glorious Rocket wasn't beaten far at Newmarket and the extra furlong is certain to suit. Right Action had no chance against Belle Meade at Pontefract but was clear of the remainder so goes on the short-list while newcomers Armagnac and Charlie Rascal are worth a market check. WESTERN DUKE was slowly away on debut at Sandown but was noted staying on nicely up the straight and will know more today – he might be the value.
