Verdict

Sutton Veny's best recent effort came over 5f but Soap Wars has claims if ready for action on his seasonal bow. Azzurra Du Caprio won on this card last year while George Chaloner's claim will help the cause of Johannes after he finished fourth at Yarmouth last time, a place behind KUANYAO. The latter hasn't won since rattling up a six-timer that ended with a win at Newmarket in 2010 but is finally back on a winning mark and it showed with a much better effort on his latest start. Peter Makin's charge gets the vote ahead of recent Windsor runner-up Paradise Spectre who is preferred in turn to Haajes and Tabaret over today's 6f trip.
