Now back in Dubai, Paul Hanagan had originally intended to ride Eshtibaak ahead of his more strongly-fancied stablemate LAHAAG. But the latter looked the more progressive of that pair last year when landing a double before beaten a head by today's opponent Chapter Seven at York. John Gosden's charge has plenty of scope for further improvement this season and gets the vote. Brae Hill is back on the same mark as when winning last year's renewal but has yet to win in soft ground, unlike his stablemates Majestic Myles and Justonefortheroad, who both have apprentices on board today. The well-backed Captain Bertie could only manage fourth in the Spring Mile last season and is 9lb higher than when winning at Newbury in April while Gladys' Gal was a progressive three-year-old but hasn't raced since 2011. Strictly Silver has yet to race on soft going but won a trial for this at Wolverhampton three weeks ago and makes more appeal than the likes of Chosen Character and Swiftly Done. Dermot Weld thought enough of Hit The Jackpot to run him in a Group 3 at Leopardstown last year and he could go well on his debut for a new yard.
