Ugo Gregory comfortably beat Lockdown Lass on similar terms at Haydock in August but was beaten a long way behind THUNDER ROAR at York earlier this month. Tony Coyle’s four-year-old wasn’t first past the post that day but was awarded the race by the stewards. He’s only been raised 3lb so a double may be on the cards. Dark Side Thunder has gone close the last twice but over 6f and on much quicker surfaces. Challet’s last win came off a 4lb higher mark so he is much respected but Ring Of Gold is 0-12 on Turf and Gainsbourg has been struggling lately.
