King Benny makes a swift reappearance after winning over a longer trip at Wetherby on Monday. He has claims, despite the penalty, while Monsieur won in this grade at Bangor in November and has been placed in both starts since. Prize Fighter was second in this race last year off an 11lb higher mark but has failed to reproduce that run since, while the free-running Sonic Anthem just hasn't been getting home in his races. Rawaaj is in good form but, like It's A Date, would probably prefer a bit further so we'll take a chance on SHALAMBAR. Tony Carroll's five-year-old looks harshly treated under top weight on his handicap debut but this is a weak contest which represents a significant drop in class from his first three runs over timber and Lee Edwards has a good record for the yard.
