Thammin went close at Kempton in October though remains 9lb higher than his latest win. Sheepscar Lad ended last season with a double over today’s trip and is only 2lb higher while Signore Piccolo was narrowly beaten at Nottingham when last in action. Casterbridge and Something Lucky would prefer fast ground but EBITDA won six times last season and signed off with a hat-trick of wins in soft going. Scott Dixon’s filly may well show further progress this year and gets the nod.
