Gamesters Icon won easily at Bath nine days ago, following up an earlier win at Ayr, but has a penalty to carry and hasn’t fared as well when tried beyond a mile in the past. Deinonychus also arrives on a hat-trick after a couple of victories at Nottingham and makes more appeal with Serena Brotherton doing the steering. Luna Magic and Thorntoun Care are other recent winners but this is a very competitive finale with Grazeon Roy very interesting stepping up in trip and William Easterby’s mount Dance King looking well treated nowadays. Railport Dolly is ultra consistent and should give Joanna Mason a good ride but FIREWATER was probably given to much to do last time behind Deinonychus. He also had excuses at Ayr the time before and looks the pick of the weights with Eireann Cagney claiming 5lb.
