Mick Easterby runs three in this and it's likely Serena Brotherton's mount, City Ground, will prove the pick. Godolphin rarely have runners in this sort of race so the appearance of the lightly-raced Muhtaris is significant. He'll certainly handle the ground as will Triple Eight, who didn't run badly at York last time. Eeny Mac was second off today's mark at Ripon in August but TY GWR looks the one to beat. He bolted up on soft ground at Leicester 10 days ago and is unlikely to be inconvenienced by a 6lb penalty. Jockey Simon Walker is one of the best amateur riders around.
