Verdict
Up To Something sets a very decent standard in this having won at Carlisle in the autumn and run well in defeat at Ascot and Newbury later. But he ran as though something was amiss in a Grade 2 at Ascot last time and this trip may be beyond his best. Beeves also has a penalty to carry and was found wanting at Kelso and Leicester last month but ex-pointer Danners wasn't disgraced at Towcester on his debut under Rules and Dreamy George ran well for a long way over a shorter trip here last month. VICTOR HEWGO ran well behind Western Warhorse here after a lengthy break, though was probably flattered by his proximity to the winner. The step up to 3m will suit, however, and he should take all the beating granted normal improvement.
