In depth

Verdict

Another wide open affair in which many have chances but Claude Greengrass is expected to go close. The gelding was well backed at Catterick last time out and was just touched off in a driving finish by Edmo Heights. If he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat off the same mark. Initiative rates the main danger he was a good winner at Sedgefield when defeating Only Words a couple of runs ago. However he was disappointing off his new mark at the same track last time out. Circle Of Wolves was a good second at Warwick behind Just A Touch last time out a reproduction of that form would see him go close, but he runs off a higher mark here. Protocol won a seller in good style at Market Rasen a couple of runs ago but he was beaten in a similar contest to this last time out and may be in the handicappers grip. Beyond Borders was fourth behind The Nomad At Wetherby last time out in a better race and the booking of Dominic Elsworth catches the eye. Impish Jude won a seller at Hereford in good style last time out and could have been let in lightly off this mark. Property Zone has had many chances in similar contests but he would have a chance on his best form, and is proven on the ground. The remainder need to improve on there latest form to take a hand in the finish.
