In depth

Verdict

A competitive handicap in which several have decent claims. Decoy has been taking on better opposition while Corkage was successful over 2m4f here last month, though was only third on a return visit to the track last time off his new mark. Devotion To Duty came back to form with a close second at Musselburgh and Storm Survivor has won at Folkestone and Plumpton this season, though the latter is now tackling a higher grade. Distime and C&D winner Ely Brown are others to consider, while it's difficult to fault the consistency of Chac Du Cadran and Soudain while Hunters Lodge is starting to look well handicapped. But the vote goes to PATSY FINNEGAN, who was much more like his old self at Taunton last time and is well handicapped nowadays.
