Verdict

A three-year-old has won this for the past two years and the lightly-raced RUSCOMBE can keep the run going. Out of the Park Hill winner Eva Luna and a half-sister to the smart Sea Moon, the Dansili filly is worth another chance over a longer trip having won her maiden here in June. Cape Cova was staying on over 1m6f at York when chasing a hat-trick and won over 1m4f here in July so rates a danger. Multellie continues in excellent form and the Haydock runner-up may be the pick of the older horses ahead of Not Never and Higher Power, though there should be more to come from Goodwood winner Arthur Mc Bride, who is unexposed on the Flat. But the handicapper may have got to Champagne Champ while Peterhouse is proving hard to win with.
