In depth

Verdict

A decent staying handicap which is probably a bit more competitive than the one won by Gold Chain at Ludlow. Dan Skelton's mare is 5lb higher here, though has won off higher marks in the past. Skidoosh could be interesting stepping up to 3m and making his handicap debut while No Hiding Place ran well at Ascot after winning at Kempton, when Muthabir was behind, and Alan Doyle takes off 7lb again. Katy Royal produced a career-best when scoring at Sedgefield and Dans Le Vent is tried in blinkers but we’re giving another chance to COURT LIABILITY, who may not have been suited by the give in the ground when surrendering his unbeaten record under Rules at Huntingdon.
