Verdict

Lightly-raced CRUSHED was running on well when winning a Newcastle maiden last October and is bred to get this trip. He can take this on his seasonal debut ahead of the consistent Alexander M, who has been running well without reward, and Second Page, who wasn’t beaten far on his handicap debut and may be seen to better effect over this slightly shorter trip. Doctor Cross is not certain to stay this distance on pedigree while Three Duchesses has shown nothing in her two handicap appearances so far.
