CAPE PERON showed a big improvement on his return to action at Newbury. He won with a bit in hand on his first attempt at today's trip and there looks plenty more to come. Goodwood Mirage made a winning start at Newmarket in October and the penny finally dropped with Gworn at Wolverhampton in November where he scored by five lengths. Kerbaaj and Simply Shining are on recovery missions having been well beaten after landing their respective maidens while only a neck separated Dark Emerald and Yourartisonfire at Yarmouth last month. Jalaa is not out of this either on his handicap debut.
